Personal Touch Medical Billing Service LLC is seeking an experienced AR/Collections Representative with a strong background in the medical field. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in medical billing, office administration, and outbound collections calls. This full-time position requires a dedicated professional who can manage complex client accounts, resolve reimbursement issues, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Duties

• Contact insurance companies / patients with outstanding debts via phone or mail
• Work collaboratively with clients, insurance providers, and internal teams to resolve complex reimbursement issues, including claim denials, underpayments, and appeals, using in-depth knowledge of insurance policies and regulations.
• Update account information and maintain accurate records
• Utilize accounting software for tracking and reporting
• Apply knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical terminology in collection processes
• Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve outstanding balances
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless billing process.

Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the medical field, preferably in medical billing or healthcare.
• Proficiency in medical billing software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for medical billing processes
• Experience in revenue cycle management within the healthcare industry
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
